Fee Schedule
Effective July 1, 2020, Harnett County Solid Waste will charge the following fees. 

Both landfills accept cash, check, and credit cards, (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover)

Landfill Tipping Fees (prices listed per ton)

*A minimum charge of $5 for all materials that are weighed at the scalehouse including mattress and box springs of any size. 

LCID (land clear debris)/Yard Waste - $30 per ton
C&D - $48 per ton
Commercial - $48 per ton
Furniture - $48 per ton
Mix Loads - $48 per ton

Fine for including trash bags or debris in LCID - $100 per ton
Surcharge for digging out loads - $100 per ton
Solid Waste Citation - $100
Illegal Waste, per ton - $106 per ton

Availability Fees (collected on tax bill)
Household Solid Waste - $80
Recycling Fee - $5

FREE disposal for Harnett County residents
Bagged kitchen trash
Newspapers, broken down cardboard, paper, plastic bottles, cans
Computers, TV's, toasters, microwaves
Scrap metal
Vehicle tires (must be without rim) *scrap tire form

Hazardous Waste
Hazardous Waste, such as cleaning supplies, gasoline, grease, wet paint, and pesticides, will only be accepted at the County's yearly Hazardous Waste Collection Event.
