Family Caregiver Support Program
The Harnett County Family Caregiver Support Program exists to help support adult family members caring for an elderly person aged 60 or older, or a disabled relative in an in-home setting. We also support grandparents who are 55 years of age or older and the primary caregiver of a child who is 18 years old or younger. Support services include;
- Information and referral services.
- Assistance with receiving and understanding the process to access services.
- Counseling and education. (Caregiver trainings and educational seminars.)
- Respite care. (Giving the caregiver a break.)
- Supplemental services. (Grab bars and other durable medical equipment, and safety checks.)
Priority is given to individuals with the greatest social and economic need.
