Family Caregiver Support Program
Family Caregiver Support Program and Additional Resources
The Harnett County Family Caregiver Support Program exists to help support adult family members caring for an elderly person aged 60 or older, or a disabled relative in an in-home setting. We also support grandparents who are 55 or older and the primary caregiver of a child who is under the age of 18. Support services include:
-
Information and referral services.
-
Assistance with receiving and understanding the process to access services.
-
Counseling and education. (Caregiver training and educational seminars.)
-
Respite care. (Giving the caregiver a break.)
-
Supplemental services. (Grab bars and other durable medical equipment, and safety checks.)
Priority is given to individuals with the greatest social and economic need.
