Harnett County has extended the deadline for property owners to submit appeals related to the recent property tax reappraisal process. The extension is intended to provide residents with additional time to review their property information and submit any questions or concerns regarding their assessed property value.

Property owners who believe their property value may not accurately reflect market value are encouraged to review their notice and file an appeal before Friday, May 22, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Appeals may be submitted online, by mail, or in person through the Harnett County Tax Department.

Property owners may also visit the Tax Department during business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for assistance with appeals. Staff remain available to assist property owners and answer questions regarding property values, appeal procedures, and required documentation.
