Harnett County Early Voting Begins Feb. 12 with Precinct and Voting Changes

Thursday, January 22, 2026

The Harnett County Primary Election will take place on March 3rd, 2026. In advance of the primary election, early voting will take place from Thursday, February 12 through Friday, February 27, 2026.

Through early voting, Harnett County residents can vote at any polling location they choose. However, on Election Day, residents must vote at the designated polling location for their precinct.

In a change from previous years, early voting will NOT be available on Sundays but will be available on weekdays and Saturdays.

For those unable to visit a polling location, absentee ballots may be requested from the Board of Elections (BOE), and must be returned back to BOE by February 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Polling locations hours will be as follows:

           Saturdays, February 14 and February 21 - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

           Saturday, February 28 - 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In 2025, new voting precincts were added, and some existing precincts were changed. Citizens are encouraged to confirm their precinct location ahead of Election Day, to know where your designated polling location is.
