Temporary Closure Planned at Anderson Creek County Park for New Playground Installation, Public Survey Available Dec. 1
Monday, December 1, 2025
Anderson Creek County Park is scheduled to close temporarily from December 1, 2025, to January 1, 2026, to facilitate the removal of the old playground. In an effort to better gauge the wants and needs of our residents and visitors of the future playground at Anderson Creek Park, a public survey will go live from December 1-7, 2025, to gather thoughts and opinions from residents.
The 1,014-acre park is being developed in phases to serve the community as a multi-use facility. Thus far, the first two phases have been completed. The installation of the new playground is the start of the third phase.
Phase one included the creation of the park, featuring walking trails, a playground, a disc golf course, observation areas, and additional amenities. This phase also involved Anderson Creek County Park hosting the Storytime in the Park Program and an outdoor library box.
The second phase included the completion of construction, installation of interpretive signage, and additional parking.
Through the implementation of the remaining phases, there are plans for more playground areas, equestrian trails, an Interpretive Education Center and Gathering Area, more picnic areas, and more.
