Harnett County Register of Deeds Launches “Thank-A-Vet” Program to Honor Local Veterans

The Harnett County Register of Deeds office is proud to announce the launch of the “Thank-A-Vet” program, an initiative dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the services and sacrifices of local veterans. Through this program, veterans residing in Harnett County can receive exclusive discounts and benefits from participating businesses throughout the area.

“We are thrilled to introduce this new program,” said Matthew Willis, Harnett County Register of Deeds. "This program is a way to give back to the brave men and women who have served our nation. It’s a small token of appreciation for the tremendous sacrifices they’ve made."

To participate, veterans must record their DD-214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) or ensure it is already on file with the Harnett County Register of Deeds office. Eligible veterans will receive a “Thank-A-Vet” discount card, granting them access to special offers from a variety of local businesses partnering in the program.

Call for Local Business Participation

The Register of Deeds office is actively seeking local businesses in Harnett County to participate in this meaningful initiative. By offering discounts or special services to veterans, businesses can demonstrate their support and appreciation for those who have served.

Businesses interested in joining the “Thank-A-Vet” program are encouraged to contact the Harnett County Register of Deeds office at (910) 893-7540 or by email at mwillis@harnett.org. Participating businesses will be featured in promotional materials and recognized for their contribution to supporting veterans in our community.
