Thursday, October 31, 2024

Image of Green buildingHarnett County is pleased to participate in the third year of Operation Green Light for Veterans, a nationwide initiative led by the National Association of Counties (NACo). This effort aims to raise awareness around unique challenges faced by many veterans and the resources available at the county, state, and federal levels to assist veterans and their families.

“We are lighting the Harnett County Resource Center and Library and the Harnett County Courthouse green from November 4-11, 2024.  We ask that our citizens and businesses light their homes and places of business green to support veterans. By shining a green light, county governments, citizens, and businesses will let veterans know that they are seen, appreciated and supported,” said Eric Truesdale, Veterans Services Director.

The Harnett County Board of Commissioners adopted a Resolution Supporting Operation Greenlight at the Board meeting on October 21, 2024.
