Harnett County Opens Emergency Shelters in response to Tropical Storm Debby

Order to go into effect on August 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
Lillington, NC- Effective August 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Harnett County Government is opening an emergency shelter to ensure the safety and well-being of residents during Tropical Storm Debby. The shelter will be available to those who need a safe place to stay during the storm.
Shelter Location:
Western Harnett High School, Address: 10637 NC-27, Lillington, NC 27546.
Residents are encouraged to bring essential items, such as medications, personal identification, important documents, clothing, and bedding. For those bringing pets, please ensure they are properly crated and have sufficient food, water, and any necessary medications. Our Animal Services Department will take care of them.
