Harnett County Health Department provides a car seat safety check program to ensure that all children are in the appropriate car seat. This program allows a certified child passenger safety technician to assess the current car seat that your child is in.

Our technicians check if the seat is in the correct position, that height and weight requirements are met per car seat label instructions, can assist in helping with proper installation, and ensure that your child is in the proper position in the car seat.
