In observance of Independence Day, Harnett County offices and libraries will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026. Solid Waste services will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Sharps Disposal Kiosk
Harnett County Health Department has installed a Sharps Disposal Kiosk in the front lobby. Residents can dispose of needles and other sharps Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm. The kiosk provides a safe and secure way to dispose of used needles and other sharps. Sharps that may be placed in the kiosk include the following:
- Needles
- Syringes
- Lancet infusion sets
- Connection needle sets
- Auto injectors
