Elderly Christmas Cheer 2024
Elderly Christmas Cheer is an annual program held by Harnett County DSS Adult Services Unit to provide the elderly population in our community with basic essentials (food/personal care items) and a few gifts of their choice for the Christmas season. Without this Program, the individuals selected would most likely not receive anything at Christmas. This program has been very successful in the past and is very uplifting for the recipients and for the DSS agency employees. For Christmas 2024, Adult Services was able to assist 38 individuals. We do this solely on donations and fundraising. Adult Services would like to thank anyone who participated some way in the soup/chili fundraiser held on 12/13/24 and the following sponsors, Kaye Wise, Mt. Pisgah Harnett OFWB Church, Inc, New Breed CDC, Lillington Farm Bureau, Little River Cruisers Classic Car Club.
