Volunteers needed for litter cleanups September 10 through 24
Harnett County is partnering with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to encourage citizens to beautify Harnett County. Volunteers can coordinate a cleanup with friends, family, and coworkers at a roadway of their choice between September 10 and September 24.
The 2022 Keep Harnett Beautiful Fall Litter Sweep has been coordinated to address the growing concern of litter along Harnett County roadways and encourage community participation to assist in beautifying Harnett County.
Registered volunteers will be provided cleanup supplies, such as trash bags, gloves picker uppers and safety vests.
To volunteer, please contact Morgan Pope, Coordinator for the Keep Harnett Beautiful committee at 910-893-7584 or mpope@harnett.org.
For more information on the Keep Harnett Beautiful Fall Litter Sweep, visit harnett.org/waste/keep-harnett-beautiful.asp or contact Harnett County Soil and Water Conservation District at 910-893-7584.
