Join us on Saturday, July 16 from 9:00 am-4:00 pm for our first ever Chainsaw Safety Field Day! N.C. Cooperative Extension in Harnett County is excited to work with Bartlett Tree Experts and Stihl as they lead hands-on demonstrations on the topics of chainsaw safety and operation; notching and felling; and limbing and bucking. For full participation, we ask that you bring your own chainsaw.
Please note that although we will be in shaded, protected areas, we will still be outdoors, so dress appropriately, bring sun protection, and stay hydrated. You must also wear PPE for participating in hands-on demos: closed-toe shoes, long pants, safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves.
Industry members and certified arborist tickets are $10 and public tickets are $20; tickets are payable by credit. Refunds can be processed up to June 14. For certified arborists, this event will offer 6 ISA credits. Check-in will begin at 8:15 am with stations kicking off at 9:00 am. Lunch will be on your own from 1:00-2:00.
