Our website has available Real Estate Indexes and images dated back to 1855. We currently have available indexes for births, deaths and marriages dated back to 1892. We strive to provide you with the most up to date information possible. For your convenience the images are available in multiple formats. We also have many commonly used forms available for download directly from the website. If we can assist you further, or you do not find the forms for your particular needs, feel free to call and we will be more than happy to assist you.

The Register of Deeds and staff strive to give customers immediate assistance when providing copies or recording and amending records allowed by statute. Our user friendly system helps citizens access records easily. The office takes great pride in keeping up to date records immediately available. "Instant recording" is an example of our passion to deliver fast, high quality, customer service. At the Harnett County Register of Deeds, documents can be recorded and returned to customers while they wait.

Important Announcements

Effective October 1, 2016 the new fee to record a deed of trust will be $64.00 for the first 35 pages plus $4 for each additional page. The fee change is to comply with closing disclosure requirements established by the federal truth in lending and real estate settlement procedure acts.
