The Harnett County Board of Commissioners is the governing body for the entire county. Responsibilities include overseeing the budget, zoning and planning issues, promoting growth, and improving the quality of life for citizens of Harnett County.

The Board holds regular meetings the first Monday of each month at 9 a.m. and the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m.

Board meetings take place in the Board of Commissioners meeting room in the Harnett County Administration Building located at 102 East Front Street in Lillington.
