Harnett Regional Jetport is near completion of a major pavement rehabilitation to Rwy 5/23, Taxiways A, B, C, D, E and the Apron. This $4.3 million project is a complete reconstruction meant to alleviate sub-surface moisture conditions and improve runway operability. In fact, as a result of the reconstruction, the runway weight capacity will increase to 45,000 lbs and the apron will increase to 60,000 lbs.
This major reconstruction is federally funded through the North Carolina Department of Transportation – Division of Aviation including a local fund match provided by the County of Harnett.
