Local Libraries Offering Food for Fines Program

Local Harnett County Libraries are offering a Food for Fines program that will allow overdue library fines to be waived with the donation of food items.

The Food for Fines program will run Monday, June 24 through Wednesday, July 31. Any individual with overdue library fines at Harnett County Public Library, located at 601 S. Main Street, Lillington, Dunn Public Library, located at 110 E. Divine Street, Dunn, or Coats Public Library, located at 29 E. Main Street, Coats, are able to bring in dry or canned goods to waive those fees.

All food donations will donated to the Harnett Food Pantry. At this time, individuals are encouraged to donate canned spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, and canned corn.
