Harnett County received the second place award in the TV & Video category for the “Come Write Your Story” promotional video. This video plays on the idea of Harnett County as a blank canvas -- a rural county that is growing rapidly. The goal was to instill awareness and pride in new and long-time residents about what’s here, and educate those outside the County about what Harnett has to offer. This video allowed the county to build and strengthen partnerships within the community while promoting all of the things that make Harnett County a unique and desirable place to call home.
The video can be found on the Harnett County Economic Development website, as well as the “Harnett County Government” Vimeo page: https://vimeo.com/280223115. Judges for the NC3C Excellence in Communications Awards were communication professionals from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers and a variety of communications industries across the state.
