Harnett County is partnering with Central Carolina Community College to expand educational opportunities for high school graduates in Harnett County. The Harnett County Promise is a pilot program designed to give high school graduates from the county — or a home-schooled student residing in the county — a chance to receive funding to attend Central Carolina Community College for two years. Students in the program will be required to exhaust all other educational funding avenues prior to receiving money from the Harnett County Promise.
Central Carolina Community College will host an open house on Tuesday, February 19 at 6pm at the Harnett Main Campus, located at 1075 E. Cornelius Harnett Blvd., Lillington, NC. The open house will provide interested students and parents with eligibility requirements, an enrollment checklist, and additional details on the new program. For more information, visit http://www.cccc.edu/promise/harnett/ or call 919-718-7300.
