Congratulations to Harnett County Commissioner Abe Elmore, who was presented with the M.H. "Jack" Brock Memorial Award last night during the Mid-Carolina Council of Governments (COG) annual meeting. The award is given "in recognition of continued and exemplary dedication and service to local government as an elected county official."
Elmore received the award for his many contributions to the local community, region and State of North Carolina, through his many years of public service and civic involvement, and his career and generosity as a successful businessman. The award was presented by Mid-Carolina COG Executive Director Jim Caldwell, along with Harnett County Board of Commissioners Chairman Gordon Springle, who serves on the Mid-Carolina COG Board of Directors.
